Young Jock Graham was involved in a reiving of horses and cattle. Robert Carey and his patrol responded. Carey arrested Young Jock and four others. After Carey left for Scotland disguised as Daniel Swanders, Richard Lowther released Young Jock and the others. They traveled to Scotland, where they identified Carey.
